Trade Copier
Copy trades from a Master MT5 account to Slave accounts: connecting, risk settings, symbol mapping and availability.
What it does
The SIPS Trade Copier copies trades from one MT5 account — the Master — to one or more other MT5 accounts — the Slaves — using sizing and symbol rules you set for each Slave. Copying runs in SIPS-managed cloud MT5 terminals, so you don’t install a copier EA or run your own VPS. You connect each account with its broker server, MT5 account number and trading password.
Unlike the read-only SIPS Bridge, the Trade Copier does place trades — on the Slave accounts you connect to it. Linking a SIPS portfolio is optional.
Availability
Being introduced in stages
The Trade Copier is built and has been proven in controlled testing on demo accounts. It is being released to customers in controlled stages, so it may not be enabled for your account yet. It is not included in the Starter plan; Professional and Enterprise include a number of Trade Copier accounts, and every Master and every Slave uses one.
Connecting accounts
Every account is added with the Connect Account wizard:
Trading Setup
Choose a SIPS portfolio to link, or Continue Without Portfolio.
Account Role
Choose Master (trades are copied from it) or Slave (trades are copied to it). For a Slave, pick the Master it follows and set its Slave Settings — see Risk settings below.
Trading Limits
Set the account’s trading limits (and, for a Master, its history sync).
MT5 Connection
Choose the broker or prop firm and server, then enter the MT5 account number, the MT5 trading password and an optional label. These are your MT5 details, not your SIPS sign-in.
Review and connect
Check the summary and click Connect Account. SIPS shows Connecting… while it signs the account in to a cloud MT5 terminal, then Account Connected Successfully. If it fails, Try Again keeps everything you entered except the password.
Your MT5 password is sent once over a secure connection to SIPS’s cloud MT5 service. It is not stored in the SIPS database or written to logs, and it is cleared from the form.
Risk settings
Each Slave has its own sizing rule:
- Fixed Lot — every copied trade uses the lot size you set.
- Lot Multiplier — a percentage of the Master’s size (100% = the same size).
- Fixed % Risk — sizes each trade so the loss at the copied stop loss is the percentage of the Slave’s balance you set.
Broker Alignment (Fixed Lot and Lot Multiplier only) rounds volume down to what the Slave’s broker accepts; if a size can’t be worked out safely, the trade isn’t copied rather than being sized by guesswork. Stop loss and take profit can be copied from the Master, and SL/TP refinement can only widen them. Pending orders stay on the Master and aren’t copied. Fixed Stop Loss / Fixed Take Profit fields are shown in Slave Settings but are not applied to copied trades yet.
Symbol mapping
Brokers often name the same instrument differently. SIPS maps identical symbol names automatically and resolves known broker aliases from both accounts’ live symbol lists (for example a Master’s .USTECHCash to a Slave’s NAS100) — it never guesses. Anything it can’t resolve shows Mapping Required, and you can set a manual mapping for that Slave, which always takes priority. Invalid mappings are rejected.
Pages and statuses
- Overview, Accounts, Copiers, Copy Performance and Activity, plus a detail page per account and Manage Copier.
- Account actions include Edit, Pause, moving or relinking a Slave, adding an existing Slave, and Delete. Pause stops new trades being copied to that account but still manages trades already copied. Delete runs in the background and shows Deleting… until it finishes.
- Copy Performance shows expected copies, copied successfully, rejected, missed, average slippage, delay and price difference, with charts — and “—” when there’s nothing to report yet. Activity lists trades placed and closed and other copy events.
- Statuses include Connected, Stale, Disconnected, Paused, Active, Awaiting Slave (a Master with no Slaves yet) and Needs Review.
Trade Copier Master accounts also appear under MT5 Connections on your Dashboard.
Terminology
- Master Account — the account trades are copied from.
- Slave Account — an account trades are copied to, with its own risk settings.
- Copier — the link between a Master and its Slaves, optionally tied to a SIPS portfolio.
Your responsibility
Copied trades are real trades on your Slave accounts. Check sizing, symbol mapping and broker conditions on each account before relying on copying. SIPS does not close or manage open positions on your behalf when you pause, delete an account or change plan — review them in MT5 yourself.
