What SIPS Is / What SIPS Is Not
SIPS is analytical software. It is not a broker or an adviser; only the opt-in Trade Copier places trades.
What SIPS is
- Analytical software for systematic traders. SIPS works with strategies you have built in StrategyQuant X: you import them, and SIPS validates, qualifies and analyses them using the same measures every time.
- A portfolio construction workflow. Portfolio Builder searches your qualified strategies for combinations that pass your own Portfolio Settings; Portfolio Comparison, Portfolio Analysis and Custom Builder let you review, drill into and hand-build portfolios.
- Live monitoring for MT5. Connect an MT5 account with the read-only SIPS Bridge and SIPS shows live P/L, your own trading limits, and how the account is behaving compared with its own history.
- A cloud Trade Copier for MT5. A separate, opt-in tool that copies trades from a Master account to Slave accounts you connect, using sizing and symbol rules you set. It is being introduced in controlled stages — see Trade Copier.
What SIPS is not
- Not a broker. SIPS does not hold, receive or control your trading funds. Your accounts stay with your own broker.
- Not an investment adviser. Nothing in SIPS is personalised investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Rankings, qualification results and behaviour classifications are measurements, not recommendations.
- Not a strategy generator. SIPS analyses strategies you bring from StrategyQuant X; it does not create trading strategies for you.
- Not a trade execution service for monitoring. The SIPS Bridge is read-only — it reports what has already happened in a connected MT5 account. It does not place, modify or execute trades. Only the Trade Copier places trades, and only on Slave accounts you explicitly connect to it and configure.
- Not a guarantee. Historical, backtested, simulated or live performance shown in SIPS is never a reliable indicator of future results.
Warning
Trading and investment activity carries risk, including the risk of losing some or all of the capital involved. See the Software & Trading Risk Disclosure for full detail.
What stays your responsibility
SIPS structures research, comparison and monitoring — it does not remove the risk of trading, and it does not decide for you. Choosing which portfolio to trade, sizing positions, setting your trading limits, choosing Trade Copier risk settings, checking that orders behave as expected with your broker, and acting on what live monitoring shows all remain your decisions.
